Carpet Powders

This method of flea control is very long lasting, if you don't shampoo your carpets. Vacuuming is fine, though. Before application, clean the carpets if they need to be cleaned. Carpeting should be completely dry prior to application. Children and pets should not be in the treated area during application. These products come with a one year guarantee.

Directions

Apply directly on carpets where pets frequently traffic or sleep. Sprinkle lightly over all carpeted areas, including closets, area rugs, under beds and non traffic areas. Using a carpet rake or push broom, sweep powder into carpet fibers until it is no longer visible. Any visible product remaining after application should be removed by further grooming or lightly vacuuming. With upholstery, remove loose cushions and apply along creases into corners and furniture wells. Do not apply product to exposed fabric. Every area should be covered, as any missed area will result in reduced effectiveness. Any visible product after application should be removed. Allow 3-5 weeks for maximum effectiveness. With proper application, effective period is one year. Wait at least 24 hours after application for normal vacuuming of carpets. If carpets are steamed or shampooed, reapplication is necessary and the effective period is no longer valid. Flea powders do not actually kill adult fleas; for a quick knockdown of adult fleas, use a dry fog like Precor 2000 or Flea Killer Plus Fogger.
