Sprinkle a little bait around each mound. Do not put the bait on the mound or disturb the mound. Treat new mounds as they appear. After July 1 drenching the mounds with Cypermethrin will work much better than using any type of bait. Baits do not work well when the weather is hot and dry.
One percent Hyrdamethylnon on a corn grit base makes this bait h
ighly attractive to fire ants and makes it less expensive to use than other fire ant baits.
